JOHN PAUL II - A TESTIMONY MOVIE

Judyta Papp takes pictures during the filming of Testimony. This documentary film is a screen adaptation of the best- selling book about John Paul II by Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz. The picture tells the story of Pope John Paul II (and before that, a father, a bishop and Cardinal Wojtyla) through the eyes of the man who was his Most Important Witness for most of his life. The screenplay was co-written by Prelate Pawel Ptasznik, Gian Franco Svidercoschi and Paweł Pitera. The film directed by Paweł Pitera is co-narrated by the Bishop of Cracow himself and Hollywood actor Michael York (John the Baptist in Jesus of Nasareth by Franco Zeffirelli).

EXHIBITION OF PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN ON SET

The ceremonial opening of the exhibition will take place in the Municipality of Cracow, in the Wielopolski Palace on May 18th - the birthday of the Holy Father. The exposition is addressed to a wide audience. The exhibition will take place in a presentable hall of the Municipality of Cracow which allows several hundred visitors per day to see it. Artists from Cracow, such as: Anna Dymna, Edward Linde-Lubaszenko and Krzysztof Globisz will present during the ceremonial opening a fragment of Triptych by the Holy Father.
